Kubisch Lamp (2018)

This fun side-project with San Francisco based startup Gantri involved designers like myself to bring lighting projects to life using a unique 3D printing and finishing process, for smooth surfaces and stunning lighting quality.

I experimented with the design of ‘Kubisch’ as a reflection on space, dimension and perspective, that references the boxy, rectangular rooms we live in, while adding a dash of playfulness by putting a cube on its edge. The light feels light but also stands out. Kubisch naturally lives in a modern living room as a center piece, or next to the bed as an ambient nightlight. It even looks great on the floor next to minimalist furniture. Wherever it’s placed, Kubisch casts a warm glow that fills its surroundings with soft light, instantly brightening the mood.
